This page explains what data RankFirst collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it during the current beta. Short version: we collect what we need to run the product, support customers, and keep the service reliable.
Information we collect
We collect the data needed to operate the product, connect your site, publish content, and diagnose problems when something breaks.
- Email and account identifiers
- Workspace, site, article, keyword, and publishing workflow data
- Integration data such as connected domains, webhook URLs, and API key metadata
- Operational logs, request metadata, and device or browser information used for security and reliability
How we use it
We use data to authenticate users, run workflows, generate and publish content, support customers, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Some of that use is automated, especially where background jobs, webhooks, and queued publishing tasks are involved.
We do not sell customer data. We may use aggregated or de-identified product usage information to understand how the product is performing and where the rough edges are.
Service providers and sharing
We use infrastructure and software vendors to host the app, store files, run background jobs, and support normal product operations. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own service terms and security controls.
We may disclose information when needed to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect the service, or investigate abuse. We may also share information if the business is part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
Cookies, sessions, and local storage
RankFirst uses cookies or similar storage for sign-in state, session continuity, security checks, and product preferences. Some of this is required for the app to work at all.
If we add analytics or marketing tools more broadly later, this page will be updated before pretending nothing changed.
Retention and deletion
We keep data for as long as it is needed to provide the service, maintain security records, meet legal obligations, and troubleshoot operational issues. Backup and log retention may outlast active workspace data for a period of time.
If you need account or workspace deletion help, contact us through the same channel used for onboarding or support. We will handle deletion requests within the limits of our legal, operational, and backup obligations.
Your choices
You can ask to update or delete account information, disconnect sites, revoke credentials, or stop using the product. Depending on where you are located, you may also have privacy rights under local law.
Questions about privacy or data handling can go through the same RankFirst support path you already use. In beta, that is still the fastest way to get a real answer.
